24K Jeepney, Tricycle, and UV Express Drivers Receive Food Packs From SM Foundation

Over 24,000 drivers were given relief goods from the SM Foundation.

Prestone, a proven and trusted brand of cutting-edge coolants, brake fluid, and motor oils, partnered anew with Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) for the annual “Safe Trip Mo, Sagot Ko” project held in time for Undas (All Saints Day) weekend break last October 30 to November 3.

The project provided overall check-up, change oil, troubleshooting, and free top-up services to a total of 93 vehicles driving through the SMSK motorists camps in SCTEX Floridablanca Lay-by (Subic bound), CAVITEX Paranaque toll plaza, and Kawit toll plaza.

Aside from roadside assistance, Prestone mechanics offered brake fluid efficiency testing with B.L.O.C.B.A.G.E.T.S, a twist on the mnemonic coined by the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) B.L.O.W.B.A.G.E.T.S, that helps drivers assess the status of their vehicles.

This time, B.L.O.C.B.A.G.E.T.S. means Brake Fluids and Brake System, Lights, Oil, Coolant, Brake, Air, Gas, Engine, Tire, and Self. Prestone aimed to improve the preventive procedure by shifting the focus from “water” to “coolant.” Mechanics inspected the level of coolants in engines and checked the system for leaks or other issues.

“When driving, the car must be equipped with the right gear to ensure safety and convenience. As our annual project, STMSK is Prestone’s way of showing our continued commitment to providing excellent services and products that prioritize ease and welfare of Filipino motorists,” said Monique Gonzales, brand manager of Prestone.
